Love Dexter Orthodontics! They’re easy to work with and pair really well with your current dentist for referrals. I’ve had x-rays taken there for braces and for wisdom teeth removal and I was very appreciative of how knowledgeable their staff was on my options moving forward. Highly recommend!

I completed Invisalign with Dr. Shoukri as an adult patient, and it was the best experience I could have asked for. Not only did he explain every step, his meticulous work is what made the difference. My daughter is currently in treatment with Dr. Shoukri as well, and it has been great so far. From the cheerful greetings at the front desk to the smile she comes out with after her appointment. The assistants are the power team and Dr. Shoukri makes sure each step and plan is completed to perfection. My daughter may hate her appliances but she always enjoys going to her appointments. The movement and changes she has had in just 9 months are incredible. I couldn’t recommend this office more. If you want someone who is genuine, caring, highly educated, and will not nickel and dime you for your time, then try this place out! Consultations are the best way to know!

The process from getting my braces on and off was really smooth. I would definitely recommend Dexter Orthodontics for people who want a fast and easy process for braces. I like how easy it is to check in when you enter. You go up to the computer, type your last name, and then you are checked in. I also really enjoy how you can book your next appointment right after your last.

My son has just started his treatments at Dexter Orthodontics and I have been pleased with how smoothly the process has been so far. They do an excellent job at explaining the process and making sure all of your questions and worries are taken care of. When my son had his appliance added to his mouth, "Mara" did an excellent job at communicating with my 11 year old and speaking his language. She made him feel in control of what was happening and allowing him the option to ask questions and give feedback really eased his mind. He felt like it was his appointment and not just Mom telling him what to do. Thank you to all of the staff for making this transition as easy as possible and for easing our worries.

We are so happy we chose Dexter Orthodontics for our 8 yo son. They are all so patient and kind with him (and me), taking the time to explain what’s going on and the plan going forward, which I really appreciate. My son walks right in on his own now, excited to sign himself in and earn more reward points. I love that he doesn’t dread it and isn’t afraid of each visit. He now goes back on his own to the open area where there are other children getting a check-up.
Dr. Shoukri has also met us more than once for emergency visits when the office was closed when something became painful or fell off and became sore. We so appreciated those instances when my son was clearly in pain, and we couldn’t wait for the next day or for the next Monday to arrive. Highly recommend this office. They do so much for our son and are great contributors to events and functions in town!

Both my kids have been going to Dexter Orthodontics. Both doctors, Moenssen and Shoukri, have been awesome with my kids. They take the time to explain the process not only to me, but to them. They have shown extra care for one of my kids who has special needs and was apprehensive. We are starting the 2nd phase with one kid, and the other is finishing up the first phase. The staff is knowledgeable and also really nice. Their prices are comparable to other Orthodontists, and they give a good discount if you book morning appointments. I also like that they promote local businesses and Dexter High School Drama. We look forward to seeing their billboards with local students/patients. I highly recommend Dexter Orthodontics.

We selected Dexter Orthodontics after visiting 4 other orthodontists in the area. I didn’t feel like my of them were the right fit...until we met Dr. Moenssen. I love the orthodontist, they are always polite and kind. They are also very carful and considerate when something has to get put in or replaced, or even taken out.

After doing research and listening to him explain, it wasn't just about how her teeth look we went ahead with the plan. I couldn't be happier about it. I wish I'd had my older daughters (whose teeth are gorgeous) get braces of some kind. I truly think they wouldn't have the jaw pain they have - which would have made their lives much better. Dexter Ortho did my Invisalign, and I'm so happy with my results. I've also taken my daughter for ortho checks and they are just so wonderful with kids!

My son started his treatment around 9 yr because of crowding issue. From very beginning, the staff was very helpful with what’s the financial situation and what my insurance would cover. I was worried my son would not like this, but it went so much well comparing myself childhood experiences. They let kids collect points by being on time, keeping oral hygiene and even wearing their T-shirt. They also let parents know how long each appointment will be. If some emergency happens (like a bracket loosen) it’s always so easy to book an appointment quickly.

Both doctors are great and experienced. My son started with an expander and you can really see how it works just after a month. What’s the most important thing is he never complain going to the appointments and never whining about braces or other stuff. It went very smoothly; after about one and half year treatment, now his teeth look so nice. We are waiting for his 12 yr molars and will start the second treatment afterwards. Soon, my younger one (8 yr) will also start her treatment as well.

Staff was excellent, very clear explanations of all of our kids different dental issues. They even did some things free of charge! We felt very supported and cared for at Dexter Orthodontics

I started taking my 7.5 year old to Dexter Ortho a couple of months ago to have his palette expanded as part of the work we’re doing in trying to improve his airway. I personally received a ton of ortho as a kid/teen and was so hesitant to take him, especially as he’s so young. But honestly I could not be happier that we found this practice. Dr. Shoukri and the whole team are genuinely so friendly, and in addition to be such caring listeners (to both me and my kid), I also really appreciate how communicative all the staff are when they’re actually working on his mouth. Each thing they do, they verbally let him know before actually doing it and they’re so good at checking in how he’s doing. All of these elements combined make my kid actually excited to go to the office, even though some of the stuff is physically uncomfortable. The payment plans are also affordable and made it so we could start right away. Highly recommend!

Ever since my daughter started high school she’s been insecure about her smile. We did a couple consults but never felt it was the right fit. Dr. Brandon and his team have been amazing with my daughter since she became their patient in early this year. They truly stand out by including kids in the conversation, talking to them directly rather than about them. This approach makes my daughter feel respected and involved in her own treatment.

We’ve had a great experience with the Invisalign palatal expander, which was phenomenal and much better than a traditional expander. Now, my daughter is using Invisalign trays, and she loves the freedom of being able to take them out. Plus, she enjoys earning points for having clean teeth at her appointments.

We had an exceptionally positive experience with Ann Arbor Orthodontics and Dr. Brandon Shoukri over the holidays. We were visiting from out of town and needed urgent attention for my son. A local pediatric dentist recommended their practice, and Dr. Shoukri responded immediately and made himself available to see us when the office wasn't even open. He was so helpful, thoughtful, and generous with his time and advice. It was hands-down one of the best experiences we've ever had with an orthodontist.

Our kids have been patients with Dexter Orthodontics for over two and half years. We have one son now in retainers after wearing traditional braces for a little more than two years. Our other son has been in Invisalign approaching 6 months now. What has impressed us most about Dexter Orthodontics, besides the results, is the caring nature of the entire staff (not just Dr. Moenssen and Dr. Shoukri). They have been an absolutely perfect fit for our one son who is neuro-divergent, specifically because of his sensory and anxiety issues he has had to overcome with the concept of seeing a doctor or dentist. From the first consultation to the implementation of the treatment plan, they have worked with us to not only ensure our son was comfortable with his options, but to assure us that his plan would be his needs versus what may have fit a neuro-typical kid.

The office and programs/services offered are so accommodating to families, you almost feel guilty at how care free they make it. We were thrilled with their flexible pricing/payment options, appointment time discounts, and care management practice. When it comes to the treatment itself, it is all provided guilt free to their patients and parents. Obviously things happen, whether it be brackets breaking, retainers breaking, bad brushing/flossing habits, missed appointments, etc... They do not make our kids feel guilty at all and reassure us as parents that things are going great. They educate all of us to try and do a little bit better the next time vs. making us feel like somebody did something wrong. This is a big deal for our son that wore traditional braces who really can be hard on himself for disappointing others.

Overall, we can't rate the entire staff high enough to give them the credit they deserve. We were skeptical going into this journey with our first son and had fairly low expectations of success and never thought our other son would be able manage a treatment option given his challenges. However, after a very short time we realized that both our kids were going to end up with fantastic smiles that they could be proud of. We have been blown out of the water at the results thus far.

And since we can't rate you higher in this form, just know that you get 10 stars from us!

They are always very nice to you, often try to get to know you so that you aren't just a name, and treat you with respect. Every time you walk into an appointment, they ask you how you are and how your day is going. Sadly, after my braces came off, I developed a problem in my jaw where it couldn't open properly and caused me pain in certain circumstances. As of right now, we are trying to understand how that happened and how it can be treated. A possibility is that I grind my teeth, so I need a new retainer to help. Dexter Orthodontics was super friendly about it and waived the charge for the new retainer, which would have cost us $500 dollars.

I got my braces here and my teeth were perfect by the end. They made everything as easy and trouble free as possible while providing excellent service. Years later (after I neglected to wear my retainers) I went to get my teeth fixed again and it was just as easy as I remembered.

Very easy to work with and helpful in dealing with insurance/payment plans for my son's braces. I don’t know that many people enjoy getting dental work done but my son reports they are always nice and conscientious to make it as enjoyable as possible.

We moved from out of state in the middle of our sons treatment and we’re shocked to find out that we basically had to start over with his braces. Not to mention our daughter was also at the end of her treatment and we had to back track a little. They were so great with working with us both on time and financial end (2 sets of continuous braces can be expensive and not a happy time for 2 teenagers). They are super friendly and helpful. They make you feel welcome and like a friend when you call or walk in the door. Highly recommend!!!

Both my kids have been going to Dexter Orthodontics. Both doctors, Moenssen and Shoukri, have been awesome with my kids. They take the time to explain the process not only to me, but to them. They have shown extra care for one of my kids who has special needs and was apprehensive. We are starting the 2nd phase with one kid, and the other is finishing up the first phase. The staff is knowledgeable and also really nice. Their prices are comparable to other Orthodontists, and they give a good discount if you book morning appointments. I also like that they promote local businesses and Dexter High School Drama. We look forward to seeing their billboards with local students/patients. I highly recommend Dexter Orthodontics.

Dexter Orthodontics has been fabulous in creating ways for kids to keep their teeth clean despite the extra effort it takes to clean them with their point system. They've provided fabulous service during the pandemic by taking excellent safety precautions. They also respond very quickly to any concerns.

I Love Dexter Orthodontics because the staff is really caring. They make an effort to know your name and to get to know you throughout your appointment. Also, when the appointment is done, they ask if your mouth is good and if any of the wires are stabbing your mouth, which shows they want you to be comfortable.

We have two of our kids with braces from Dexter Orthodontics. My daughter will be getting them taken off in just a couple weeks and my son has just recently started. So our family has been under their care for several years and couldn’t be more satisfied. We had a different orthodontist for my oldest son and did not have a great experience there. It has been refreshing to be in such good hands now. They are professional, encouraging, and are very in tune with the challenges for the kids as well as the concerns of the parents. We have always had everything explained thoroughly and had all options clearly presented. The kids are given clear instructions and I love the way they encourage compliance with a very clever incentive program. And, at least compared to our experience with a different orthodontist, they have been noticeably more affordable. This has been an excellent choice for our family.

We switched from another ortho that was farther away and so glad we did. Dr. Shoukri has twice accommodated braces “emergencies” for my 14 yr old and the staff are so friendly and professional.

We have been going to Dexter Orthodontics for 5 years now. My oldest was a very reluctant patient at the dentist due to an injury when younger. Dr. Moenssen was amazing with her and went through a series of appointments to get to know her and gain her confidence before doing anything. This mom was completely amazed by her compassion and obvious love of children.

My oldest is nearing the end of her journey but our soon to be 12 year old will be starting hers. I couldn't recommend an orthodontist more highly!

Both my kids have been going to Dexter Orthodontics. Both doctors, Moenssen and Shoukri, have been awesome with my kids. They take the time to explain the process not only to me, but to them. They have shown extra care for one of my kids who has special needs and was apprehensive. We are starting the 2nd phase with one kid, and the other is finishing up the first phase. The staff is knowledgeable and also really nice. Their prices are comparable to other Orthodontists, and they give a good discount if you book morning appointments. We chose Dexter Orthodontics after meeting 4 other Orthodontists. I wasn’t happy with one thing or the other at the other places. When I met Dr. Moenssen and learned about her approach to my son’s treatment, I knew we were in the right place. We have been there for phase 1 and are now in the middle of phase 2. It has been 5 years, but that’s because of my son being slow to get specific teeth in, in order to move forward. His teeth look great! They have always been helpful, informative and wonderful when I call to change an appointment or have a question. I’ve actually referred friends who also love them.
